I do just sample the sounds I need on it, since it keeps the samples in memory. It actually says "Emulator SP12" on the front panel. I have an SP12 now, which is actually prototype #4. The benefit of doing this vs sampling is that you could get the tuning, phase, start point etc of the sample very accurate - and then you'd get the cool SP1200 sound on playback. I don't remember what the OS version I had was, but most likely the last available one.

The only trick (aside from having the correct sample rate and bit depth) was that it wouldn't receive unless there was something to overwrite. I haven't had an SP1200 in about 5 years, but I used to dump samples to it all the time using Peak or Spark. The one thing you guys are missing is that the SP needs to have a sample already loaded onto a pad before you can dump something to it. IDK yet if the Elektron C6 would work if I first converted my wav's to 26 040 Hz and 12bit with another software.Yes it would - it uses standard SDS to dump samples. To SP1200 and than SP1200 stops receiving in the middle of transmission.īut the sample originally came from the SP1200 so it has exact length that SP can accept, so i don't get why it transmits only a portion of a sound?ĭSP Quatro Midi SDS Tx settings are set to : Issue : for some reason DSP Quattro dumps only short portion of the sample Issue: Cannot find a way to load them back into SP1200 with C6-Sysex Tool. So i have to detune it by -90 to match with SP1200.ī) between SP1200 and Computer( MacbookPro OSX 10.6.3) USB MIDI interface "Midisport 1x1"Ĭan easily and quite fast MIDI Dump all samples from SP1200 to MacBookPro ( They sound exactly as in SP1200 keeping the original pitch - very cool! ) i think you get a much better result sampling directly as I presume the convertors add depth and character to the sample.i am also experimenting with Sample MIDI DumpsĪnd its relatively easy to MIDI Dump from SP to MPC3000 and back, one issue : for some reason the SP1200 sample is sounding way higher pitched in MPC3000 I normalised and process the samples prior to the sample dump and gotta say I was fairly disappointed by the results. I'm using Quattro at the minute to send some wavs over to my Sp1200.
